Today I’m going to share with you a couple more ways you can make money blogging that are quick and easy to get started with.

First off, if you have a lot of content on your blog you can use a method called contextual advertising or text link ads.

These are basically links to other peoples stuff on other websites / blogs that another company or person is willing to pay a cost per click or impression of the text link.

The cost of the link depends on the agency they purchase the text links through. However as you would be hosting the text links on your blog, you would be paid a commission from the agency. Sometimes this is based on impressions (number of times a text link is displayed to a reader) or click throughs (the number of times reader click on the link).

Text link ads are usually displayed as a clickable link that’s highlighted to make it stand out in the content of your blogs page.

Another way to make money blogging is to use banner advertising on your blog, where the banner contains your affiliate link to some one else’s product. You get paid every time some one makes a purchase of the product you are sending your visitors to via the banner.

To do well from this type of advertising you again need high volumes of traffic, as due to the over use of banners on websites and blogs, readers now tend to ignore them.

This brings me to the next method to make money blogging which is to sell direct advertising space on your blog, you can do this by using a theme that has advertising box built in or you can use a plugin that adds advertising space to your side bars.

This method of advertising can be quite lucrative especially if you have a lot of visitors or traffic.

You should be able to charge more for the advertising space if your blog is targeted at a specific niche as your advertisers will then be able to better target their ads and increase there ROI.

The thing to remember when looking at ways to make money blogging is not try and use every possible strategy, as your blog will look really cluttered and you will have to many ways for your readers to be distracted from your content.

Another aspect to be wary of when looking at ways to maximise your blogs income is to make sure that the strategies you employ have the biggest return on investment for you. By this I mean its pointless if you over use one method of blog monetisation such as text links plastered all over your blog which takes your reader attention away from say a quality product review, which would pay you more commission if one of our readers bought the product.
